DLE is easier to think about less as a company, but as an umbrella for the subdivided activities in which it participates in. From consumer electronics to public infrastructure and radiation safety, we diversify our activities across industrial and national borders and markets to better apply our strengths.

SLD Division
The tag line for the SLD Division is “You buy it once, it performs exactly as advertised, and not a millimeter further”. This allows for costs to be reduced on gimmicky features that consumers never wanted in the first place, and ensures a more reliable end-user experience though design iteration and simplification. The focus of this division is consumer electronics, and appliances, but provides design support for all other divisions of DLE as the beating R&D heart of the organization. Product commissions and partnerships are also generally classified under this division. In addition, there are plans to perform R&D to investigate the application of high combustion performance and efficiency per volume (HCPEV) gasoline and hydrogen engines for motorcycles, sedans, roadsters, extended range EV cars, and GT style cars.
Leviathan Division
The Leviathan Division generally encapsulates the wider impact of DLE, particularly in the fields of public infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to net zero power generation facilities, centralized HVAC systems, and innovations that blend these systems into the public sphere. Ultimately what separates Leviathan from SLD, however, is this division is responsible for products that are designed exclusively for organizations and governments. There is immediately plans to launch a rapid deployment CSP power plant when resources become available. This division, when it reaches maturity, will then be broken off to form its’ own company, DLE Leviathan Engineering.
Litavis Division
In sharp contrast from the SLD Division, the Litavis Division is responsible for designs that go above and beyond. While a dream now, this, the mission of Litavis includes but is not limited to the automotive, fashion, luxury goods, and cybernetics markets. When it reaches maturity, this Division will be broken off to form its’ own company and label, DLE Litavis.

Our First Product
The SLD Notification Light is emblematic of the SLD Division as a whole. This product began as an exercise in efficiency and adherence original mission statement of the product, which was in itself brought into existence as an exercise in product conception and design simplification. Originally meant to respond to business, government, and student emails, this conversation introduced the idea of open-source modularity and accessibility whereby customers could make and publish their own apps. These apps, whatever they may be, would also be compatible with this product through the use of the specific choice in hardware due the online community already present surrounding the underlying Raspberry Pi Pico W PCB. From the average consumer to the US government, DLE would not be what is today without the humble Notification Light.

Project Combo-Detector
A core mission of DLE is the design and product development of projects that are in the public interest of both nations foreign and domestic, and the potential adoption of cutting-edge technology in pursuit of that mission. Our first project in with this mission in mind is Project Combo-Detector, which in itself is be broken into 4 separate products. Namely, handheld wand and portal monitor variants of a radiation and metal detector. In partnership with a PhD-led UCLA-based research lab, the pilot product for Project Combo-Detector was a modular-scalable portal monitor meant for use in shipping ports to scan shipping containers transported by both semi-trucks and double-decker train cars. In addition, Combo-Detector responds to gamma, neutron and X-ray radiation, and is capable of locating a radiation source in 3D space and, with that data, generating a viewable 3D heatmap of a passing container. Another key innovation for this project is an ergonomic grip meant to facilitate more comfortable extended use, a more robust rapid-deployment mechanism inspired by law enforcement feedback and easier storage.

Project Sting
To a similar mission of Project Combo-Detector, Project Sting aims to bring cutting edge technology to market and support research labs and their innovations. Project Sting itself is split into 3 products, consisting of 2 PRDs (a compact and standard size) and an RID. Designed in partnership with a PhD-led UCLA-based research lab and with feedback from law enforcement, the PRDs and RID responds to gamma, neutron and X-ray radiation with a PVT-based detection element. These devices also use standardized components that are intended to pass on significant cost-savings to end-use customers without sacrificing functionality. Consideration was also given to use-cases, and a rapid deployment holster designed to interface with the standard hardpoints and equip to a belt is also available separately.
Partnerships and Collaborations
As part of Our Contract Engineering Services, we may partake in long-term partnerships with clients, whether they be individuals or other companies. Some of our first clients include SHLUMPT.co, BOSSWEAR, Ken Hacke Arts. More recent partnerships include NanoRad and MPLG.

USA born, Globally Made
DLE was started as a Contract Engineering Company based out of a bedroom in Long Beach, California. Since then, it’s evolved into a venture design studio with the various divisions it has today with manufacturing partnerships in England and the United States, with plans to expand engineering offices in central and southern Europe.
